Indonesian Embassy in Bangladesh Celebrates 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republik of Indonesia

Inspired by the spirit of “Unified Sovereignty, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia”—the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka celebrated the 81^st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republik of Indonesia with the Indonesian community living in Bangladesh.

The celebration began with a Red and White Flag hoisting ceremony at the Indonesian Embassy premises in Dhaka at 8:00 AM on Monday, 17 August 2026. The ceremony was proudly attended by Indonesian Embassy officials and families, the Indonesian community and Indonesian expatriates living in Bangladesh.

This year, the ceremony presented the Flag Raising Troop (Paskibra) officers consisting of young people and involving elements of the Indonesian Embassy Staff in Dhaka, Indonesian citizens and students of the Indonesian Military (TNI) as ceremonial officers.

On that occasion, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Her Excellency Mrs. Listyowati, as the Inspector of the Ceremony has presented the “Satyalancana Karya Satya 30th Anniversary Award” certificate to Mr. Tomo Sudrajat (PNS Communication Officer of the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka), and awards in the form of Certificates were also given to all members of the Paskibra Team and the Commander and Ceremony Officer.

To mark the Indonesia's 81^st Anniversary of Independence, the Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Her Excellency Mrs. Listyowati symbolically cut a traditional and national dish of Indonesia “Tumpeng” (rice cone) and distributed among the representatives of the community present, took photos together and enjoyed breakfast together in a cordial atmosphere as well as socializing.

After the flag-hoisting ceremony, the event continued with entertainment and offerings from the Indonesian community, further enlivened by a number of door prizes with attractive prizes. To relieve homesickness and increase the festive atmosphere, the fair featured a variety of Indonesian food, drinks, products and Indonesian traditional specialties. Participants served a variety of dishes. These included Siomay (steamed fish dumpling), Mie ayam (chicken noodles), Empek-Empek (fish cake), Bakso kuah (meatball soup), Risoles, Dadar gulung, various Indonesian snacks and Indonesian cooking spices. This bustling Indonesian food fair added more vibrancy to the 81^st Indonesian Independence Day celebrations.   

About 400 Indonesian citizens from Dhaka and its surrounding areas, and even from far-flung places, thronged the Indonesian Embassy building. Everyone looked happy and excited as they participated in the flag-hoisting ceremony and the subsequent festivities that took place that day.

The Founder President of Voice of Indonesia Fan Club of Bangladesh (VOI-FCB) and Founder Chairman of South Asia Radio Club (SARC) Bangladesh, Radio Activist Mr. Didarul Iqbal (S21DAL), Cultural Secretary Mrs. Taslima Akter Lima and Children's Affairs Secretary Mr. Labib Iqbal extended warm greetings and congratulations to all Indonesian citizens on the occasion of the 81^st Anniversary of Indonesia's declaration of Independence.

“ঐক্যবদ্ধ সার্বভৌমত্ব, সমৃদ্ধ জনগণ, উন্নত ইন্দোনেশিয়া”—এই চেতনায় উদ্বুদ্ধ হয়ে বাংলাদেশে বসবাসরত ইন্দোনেশীয় সম্প্রদায়ের সাথে ইন্দোনেশিয়া প্রজাতন্ত্রের স্বাধীনতার ৮১তম বার্ষিকী উদযাপন করেছে ঢাকাস্থ ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাস।

সোমবার, ১৭ আগস্ট ২০২৬, সকাল ৮:০০টায় ঢাকায় অবস্থিত ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাস প্রাঙ্গণে একটি লাল-সাদা পতাকা উত্তোলন অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে এই উদযাপনী অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয়। এই অনুষ্ঠানে ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাসের কর্মকর্তা ও পরিবার, ইন্দোনেশীয় সম্প্রদায় এবং বাংলাদেশে বসবাসরত ইন্দোনেশীয় প্রবাসীরা সগৌরবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

এই বছর অনুষ্ঠানে তরুণ-তরুণীদের নিয়ে একটি পতাকা উত্তোলনকারী দল (পাস্কিব্রা) অংশ নেয় এবং আনুষ্ঠানিক কর্মকর্তা হিসেবে বাংলাদেশে কর্মরত ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাসের কর্মী, ইন্দোনেশীয় নাগরিক এবং ইন্দোনেশীয় সামরিক বাহিনীর (টিএনআই) শিক্ষার্থীরা অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলেন। এই উপলক্ষে অনুষ্ঠান পরিদর্শক হিসেবে বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত ইন্দোনেশিয়ার রাষ্ট্রদূত মিস ইবু লিস্টিওওয়াতি ঢাকায় অবস্থিত ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাসের পিএনএস কমিউনিকেশন অফিসার তোমো সুদ্রাজাতকে “সত্যলঞ্চনা কার্য সত্য ৩০তম বার্ষিকী পুরস্কার”-এর সনদপত্র প্রদান করেন। এছাড়াও পতাকা উত্তোলনকারী দলের সকল সদস্য, কমান্ডার এবং আনুষ্ঠানিক কর্মকর্তাদের সনদপত্র প্রদান করা হয়।

ইন্দোনেশিয়ার স্বাধীনতার ৮১তম বার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে রাষ্ট্রদূত মিস ইবু লিস্টিওওয়াতি উপস্থিত সম্প্রদায়ের প্রতিনিধিদের মাঝে প্রতীকীভাবে ইন্দোনেশিয়ার ঐতিহ্যবাহী এবং জাতীয় খাবার টুম্পেং (ভাতের শঙ্কু) কেটে বিতরণ করেন, একসঙ্গে ছবি তোলেন এবং একসাথে সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণভাবে সকালের নাস্তা উপভোগ করার পাশাপাশি সামাজিক আলাপচারিতায় মেতে ওঠেন।

পতাকা উত্তোলন অনুষ্ঠানের পর ইন্দোনেশীয় সম্প্রদায়ের পক্ষ থেকে বিনোদন ও বিভিন্ন আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানটি চলতে থাকে যা আকর্ষণীয় পুরস্কারসহ একাধিক ডোর প্রাইজের মাধ্যমে আরও সমৃদ্ধ হয়। স্বদেশের জন্য মন খারাপ দূর করতে এবং উৎসবের আমেজ বাড়াতে মেলাটিতে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ইন্দোনেশীয় খাবার, পানীয়, পণ্য এবং ইন্দোনেশিয়ার ঐতিহ্যবাহী বিশেষ রন্ধনশৈলীর আয়োজন করা হয়। অংশগ্রহণকারীরা যেখানে বিভিন্ন ধরনের খাবার পরিবেশন করেন। যার মধ্যে ছিল সিওমাই, চিকেন নুডলস, এমপেক-এমপেক, মিটবল স্যুপ, রিসোল (রাইস কেক), রোলড অমলেটের মতো বিভিন্ন ইন্দোনেশীয় নাস্তা এবং ইন্দোনেশীয় মশলা। এই জমজমাট ইন্দোনেশীয় খাবারের মেলা ৮১তম ইন্দোনেশীয় স্বাধীনতা দিবস উদযাপনকে আরো প্রাণবন্ত করে তোলে। ঢাকা ও তার আশপাশের এলাকা, এমনকি ঢাকা থেকে বেশ দূরবর্তী স্থান থেকেও প্রায় ৪০০ ইন্দোনেশীয় নাগরিক ইন্দোনেশীয় দূতাবাস ভবনটিতে ভিড় জমিয়েছিলেন। পতাকা উত্তোলন অনুষ্ঠান এবং সেদিন অনুষ্ঠিত পরবর্তী আনন্দ-উৎসবে অংশগ্রহণ করে সকলকেই আনন্দিত ও উচ্ছ্বসিত দেখাচ্ছিল।

ভয়েস অব ইন্দোনেশিয়া ফ্যান ক্লাব অব বাংলাদেশ (ভিওআই-এফসিবি)’র প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সভাপতি ও সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাব (সার্ক) বাংলাদেশ এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান রেডিও এক্টিভিস্ট দিদারুল ইকবাল (S21DAL), সাংস্কৃতিক সম্পাদক তাছলিমা আক্তার লিমা ও শিশু বিষয়ক সম্পাদক লাবীব ইকবাল ইন্দোনেশিয়ার স্বাধীনতা ঘোষণার ৮১তম বার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে সকল ইন্দোনেশীয় নাগরিককে ফ্যান ক্লাবের পক্ষ থেকে উষ্ণ শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছেন।     

মানিক মিয়ার ২৮তম মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাবের মিলাদ ও দোয়া মাহফিল সম্পন্ন

বেতার ভিত্তিক শ্রোতা সংগঠন সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাব (সার্ক) বাংলাদেশ এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান ও রেডিও এক্টিভিস্ট দিদারুল ইকবাল (S21DAL) এর পিতা মো: মানিক মিয়ার ২৮তম মৃত্যুবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষে মিলাদ ও দোয়া মাহফিল সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।

শুক্রবার (২৬ জুন ২০২৬) বাদ আছর সিলেট সিটি কর্পোরেশন ৩৪নং ওয়ার্ড বাহুবল গ্রীণল্যান্ড আবাসিক এলাকার হযরত শাহপরান (র:) উপশহর বাহুবল জামে মসজিদে মরহুম মো: মানিক মিয়ার রুহের মাগফিরাত কামনায় মিলাদ ও দোয়া মাহফিলের আয়োজন করে সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাব (সার্ক) বাংলাদেশ। বিশেষ দোয়া ও মুনাজাত পরিচালনা করেন, মাওলানা জাকির আহমদ।  

মিলাদ ও দোয়া প্রার্থনায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন, সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাব (সার্ক) বাংলাদেশ এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান ও রেডিও এক্টিভিস্ট দিদারুল ইকবাল (S21DAL), শিশু বিষয়ক সম্পাদক লাবীব ইকবাল, সাউথ এশিয়া রেডিও ক্লাব (সার্ক)- শাহপরান ইউনিট, সিলেটের সহসভাপতি মো. আফজল চৌধুরী, সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো. আব্দুল বারী, হাফিজ মৌলভী মখলিছুর রহমান, মৌলভী আজিজুর রহমান, সাবেক ব্যাংকার আব্দুর রহিম, জসিম উদ্দিন, আব্দুল কুদ্দুস, আব্দুল ওয়াসেহ, শওকত মাস্টার, মৌলভী মুফতি রায়হান আহমদ, বাহুবল ইউনিক ক্লাবের সভাপতি মো. মুহিবুর রহমান, মসজিদের মোয়াজ্জিন হাফিজ আজিজুর রহমান সহ অন্যান্য মুসল্লিবৃন্দ।

উল্লেখ্য, বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ের চট্টগ্রাম সিগন্যাল ইন্সপেক্টর অফিসে কর্মরত অবস্থায় ১৯৯৮ সালের ২০ জুন ব্রেইন স্ট্রোক করে ইন্তেকাল করেন মো: মানিক মিয়া।
